Household Centipede Poison – Is This A Necessary Step?

Centipedes in the house can be a tad bit scary because they are a rather creepy pest. The reality is that centipedes won’t really hurt you and won’t really cause any damage. But still some don’t want them in the house like they don’t want spiders even if beneficial to some degree.

Household centipede poison is an option, but is it absolutely necessary for a centipede in the house? Centipedes typically don’t travel in packs so there won’t be many at all in your house if you find them. A poison to kill just one or two centipedes seems a bit over the top.

One option is to use sticky traps to catch any pests that are running around. This will catch a centipede since they will not be able to get out of it at all. As a side effect you will find out what other pests are in your home that you may not have seen because they are only out at night.

If you don’t want centipedes, the best preventative practice is to get rid of water and humidity especially in basement areas. You will find more centipedes in houses with more water and water problems.

If you do want to use a product to get rid of centipedes and other pests, try diatomaceous earth as a more natural way of dealing with pest problems.
