Homemade Cockroach Trap

Here is a quick simple homemade cockroach trap to help you out with your roach problem.

You will need a glass jar, a banana peel, some petrolium jelly, some tape, and a paper towel.

Step 1 – Some roaches can’t crawl up glass so this is where the paper towel is used. Take the paper towel and wrap it around the outside of the jar. This will give roaches something to cling to as they crawl up the jar.

Step 2 – Put a small banana peel inside the jar. This will be the bait for the cockroach.

Step 3 – Rub petroleum jelly around the upper part of the inside of the jar. When the roach crawls in to get the banana peel, they won’t be able to crawl out because the petroleum jelly will be too sticky.

If you have lots of roaches, make more jars. You can test doing it without the paper towel on the outside because most American roaches should be able to climb up glass.
