Get Rid of Crickets in the House
Crickets sometimes are found in the house. They can be somewhat annoying because of the noise they make during the night when you are trying to sleep. Once you get up and try to go towards the noise, it stops.
Most crickets don’t come inside to really do any damage. Normally they are inside because they are looking for an additional food source because it’s run out outside or they are looking for shelter from extreme temperatures.
Crickets are attracted to light. Whatever part inside or even outside the home that has light will typically be the area of the home most of the crickets will be at.
Use this to your advantage. Light the area inside the home at night where you want the crickets to be.
One option is to use cricket bait and leave it in this area so that the crickets will find it when they will eat it and be eliminated.
Another option is to leave out a jar with molasses inside or another very sticky substance. The crickets will get into it and won’t be able to get back out. This is a better option if you have curious pets and children who might eat the poisonous baits.
