Most of us are aware of how pests get into the home. Protect yourself from these common ways and generally pest problems are limited. But there are ways that pests can get into the home that aren’t always considered.

Whenever you get a new piece of furniture delivered to your home, it’s normally set into your living room or bedroom and that’s that. But consider that this piece of furniture has been sitting in a warehouse full of pests. I’ve seen a couch delivered to the home that had beetles, roaches, and moths. It took a few hours to make the connection that it was the new furniture full of bugs.
Termites have been known to get into the home in the woods inside new furniture and this can be disastrous.
A good piece of advice is to have the furniture looked over for pests BEFORE it’s let inside the home. This will help prevent any surprises and infestations that’s aren’t necessary.
